Many congratulations if your website has been announced as a Finalist for the NORAs 2011!  Commiserations if you weren’t shortlisted.  The competition this year has been fierce, and we recieved 17,707 nominations for 526 separate websites.

As our nominations come directly from the general public, many sites are submitted to us without their knowledge.  Let me try to answer some of your questions.

Q. How did we get nominated?

A. We invite nominations from the public from mid-June each year, until 9th September. You may have registered for our 1-Click nomination process (where you display a nominate graphic on your site) or get nominated via the online form on this website.

Q. How are the Finalists decided?

A. We have assembled a Shortlisting Judging Panel of industry experts.  Our judges assess the nominated sites in each award category, from the perspective of a job seeker.  The Finalists are those websites and recruitment services which we believe offer the very best service and user-experience to candidates.

Q. When are the Winners announced?

A. The NORA 2011 awards event was on Wednesday 2nd November, in London.  Unlike many industry awards, the NORAs is relatively informal, with not a tuxedo or ball gown in sight.  The event was held at the exclusive night-club, Sway, in Covent Garden.  This year over 300 people from throughout the online recruitment sector had a tremendous time celebrating their success.
